ODG238 : EyeSkreem / EyeSkreem - Vol.III

ODG238 : EyeSkreem / EyeSkreem - Vol.III

EyeSkreem sees the third union between avant-garde experimentalist Andrew Leslie Hooker on No-imput mixing board and Russ Grant on guitar for their follow-up Vol.III.

They offer us 3 powerful tracks which bring you to a certain state of (un)consciousness.
To listen at full volume to interact the best with the music.

Both of them were/are extremely involved in experimental improvised music having played with a huge amount of musicians from that scene since the early nineties in the UK.

See Vol.I for all the details of this trilogy.

Digital release on the 1st of May 2026.

Track listing:

Vol III Collected Stories - by Russ Grant

C1. I Have Met Them At Close Of Day Coming With Vivid Faces

Oh how we now sing the body mechanical Everybody was Kung Fu dancing
The sun sank sharply
Old Man Whiskey Horse hugged his granddaughter and left the rowdy Red Lion behind.

The kebab shop was empty.
He sat alone by the river enjoying falafel in pitta On the opposite bank familiar skeletons erupted Ghosts waved and blew him kisses
He remembered loves and friendships
A passing tabby cat miaowed
and that was that.

CII. Brittle with Relics

‘Brittle Bob’ hobbled down the hill, hiding an LP under his Jerkin. Two teenage brothers were fixing an Italian moped on a driveway. They were Arnold and Eugene, the barbers’ sons,
A wireless distorted through the grapevine.

The brothers danced, passing spanners and tossing rags They revved and rolled their eyes.
They waved at Bob and called out
“Hey Bob, How y’doing buddy?”

Bob nodded to show he was OK... today.

Bob wobble-struggled on down the hill,
through school and the youth club into early adulthood. Sometimes traumatic memories
haunted, howled, horrified or helped,
especially if he dreamt of Emily
and woke up with Julia.

CIII. Bloodied Shavings of Deteriorating Time

A documentary starts weaving
Through sunlit clifftop church ruins,
Gull shaped silhouettes en-shadow the sacred stones, A fast grey navy motor-boat trails the coast below.

He remembers taking his father’s horse without permission The audacity
The excitement
The speed

The danger The plain The tent The woman The tea The joy

His father’s anger and cruel revenge.

Now, In their city of wickedness.
They are teaching him to read and speak and think their way.

There are two women.
One who asks a question in the language of documentaries. and his sister who whispers and weeps.
He barely hears what she says.
The subtitle is completely wrong.
