OJP011 : Kitsukawa Migaku - Shiki-Kyoka Ensemble / The Four Seasons of the Wind, Vol.1

Cover art by A.L.

OJP011 : Kitsukawa Migaku - Shiki-Kyoka Ensemble / The Four Seasons of the Wind, Vol.1

More classical than ambient , the first vol. of the four seasons by talented composer Kitsukawa Migaku is beautifully played by the Shiki-Kyoka ensemble.
The trumpet player is no other than Tetsuroh Konishi (see OJP001 and OJP002) who recorded various trumpet ambient works with quite a lot of different musicians.
Typically Japanese in the phrasing of mood, this music is the perfect companion for this summer!

"With the Shiki-Kyoka Ensemble, we made my favorite Japanese scenery music. I did this anthology mainly on different summers while travelling in superb sceneries. This was simply my way to compose the memory of a person with his summer impression, the summer impression of ancient times of Japan.
I composed three pieces: one for a trumpet and a piano, the second for a flute and a piano and the third jus for a solo piano.
I hope I succeeded in the way that listening to the music you will all feel the breeze of a typical Japanese summer surrounding you softly".

OJP010: Silentwave / The Deep Sea - Noisebeat

Cover art by A.L.

OJP010 : Silentwave / The Deep Sea - Noisebeat

Yoshinori Noguchi aka Silentwave is a Japanese composer from Yokohama working most exclusively in the ambient field or drones music, though sometimes also going for a kind of repetitive electro used for commercials or exhibitions. His music expresses the themes of nature, consciousness and unconsciousness.

He is a prolific musician having recorded a lot of records, live or in studio.
To choose from his huge collection of music was not easy, but this album will give you a good opportunity to listen to his musical world.

The Deep Sea is a 20 minutes long piece of his typically ambient compositions while Noisebeat is a long repetition of a drone bell beat and ... noise!

Digital release on the 29th of July 2016.

1: The Deep Sea
2: Noisebeat

OVD016- OUI038 : Pierre Vervloesem - Teun Verbruggen - Adrien Lambinet / Live at Pelzer Jazz House

Cover art by A.L.

OVD016-OUI038 : Pierre Vervloesem - Teun Verbruggen - Adrien Lambinet / Live at Pelzer Jazz House

One more time, Pierre Vervloesem brings his genius sense of music to another level!
This time, with fellows Teun Verbruggen on drums and Adrien Lambinet on trombone and effects.
On the first track, they go for a very improvised set, following a chart of time written in advance by Pierre allowing each of them a certain amount of minutes to do whatever they want with their own instrument or  obliging them to improvise together.
The second set is completely improvised, one shot of free music.
At time, abstract, dub, jazz, classical or almost pop, the music is nevertheless extremely powerful or delicately played.
Live improvised music at his best!
